About Us

Hello there and welcome to our page! We are a very small, family-run, pizza business based in the leafy suburbs of Milltimber, on the outskirts of Aberdeen in the north-east of Scotland.

We were established during lockdown 1 in 2021, as a way to do something a bit different. This alongside a full time job in Geoscience and caring for my two children, you’d be forgiven for thinking I’d lost my mind. You are probably right! But since then Firemill have developed an amazing product and have grown in popularity.

We have now been honoured with a plethora of awards for our pizza, including the Prestige Awards Best Pizza Takeaway in Scotland for 2022-2023-2024. We have been a finalist in the Italian Awards Best Pizza in Scotland three years running, and in 2023 we scooped the top prize of Scotland Best Pizza 2023. We then went on to be crowned UK Italian Pizza Champions 2023! As if I thought it couldn’t get any more surreal…I was then invited to join the UK team at the Pizza World Championships in Palermo in March 2024. The ladies team came 3rd in the Best International Team category! Crazy!

But all this silverware just proves one thing…..that we are passionate about Neapolitan-inspired pizza and redefining what proper pizza should taste like. Oh, and that if you work hard enough at anything, you get to be quite good at it!

We put time and love into every single pizza we make. The dough-making process starts 3 days before we even fire up the oven, using genuine Italian ingredients. We use a Biga preferment technique which develops amazing flavour and texture in our dough over a long period of time. Our pizza sauce is a combination of naturally sweet San Marzano tomatoes and a little seasoning. And we use genuine Italian fior di latte mozzarella and Grana Padano cheeses for that authentic Neapolitan taste. This is what makes our pizzas so much more delicious (and digestible) than mass produced pizza. Time, the best ingredients and bags of passion.
